This is what happens when left over pancakes meet a rainy morning…the hens want to come inside

While enjoying some down I spent time browsing some of my favorite blogs.  I am so amazed at how many people have committed their lives to living more simply…just like us.

It’s so refreshing to see so many starting to reconnect with their families and the environment again. There is a real movement to reduce spending, conserve resources and slow down…and I love it!

If you are one of many who want to start living simpler
but just don’t know where to start let me share with you a couple ideas to get you started.

We have been programmed over the years that in order to be happy we must have the best of everything.  From shoes to appliances the things that surround us are really the things that have added stress to our lives.  We have become defined by our possessions instead of who we are.

Start by de-cluttering your home.
Learning to live with what you have is one of the first steps to simplifying your life. Living a simpler life starts at home by following these simple guidelines.  Use it up, wear it out, make do, or do without.

Watch out for time robbers. The little things that were meant to make our lives more productive have stolen the one thing we all hold most valuable…time.  Don’t allow T.V., Internet, e-mail or texting steal time away from those you love.

It only takes a few small changes to make a world of difference!
