Being organized is all about developing good habits.
If you have decided you want to get organized, but don’t have a lot of time to devote to it, commit to doing a certain amount each day. I carve out 30 minutes from the beginning of every day by getting up early; but if you have more energy at night, then you can adjust your evening schedule. I often set my kitchen timer for 30 minutes so I don’t get so involved with a project I don’t stay on task.
You have heard it before but I live by the motto “A place for everything, and everything in its place.”
Nothing makes me happier then leaving in the morning knowing my house is neat and all in order. I also noticed my day goes much smoother when I start my day organized and in balance.
Here is the list of tasks I can get done in about 30 minutes…
- Start a load of wash. (It doesn’t get finished in 30 minutes but I try and leave enough time to hang the load outside or on the drying rack before I leave for work.)
- Make the bed and tidy up the bedroom.
- Run the vacuum and sweep up high traffic areas.
- Plan dinner.
- Go through yesterday’s mail and file or purge what is not needed.
- Wash up breakfast dishes.
- Wipe down the bathroom sink and tidy up.
- Feed the animals.
Whatever you decide to do in your 30 minutes concentrate on high traffic areas like the kitchen, bathrooms and entryways, and those areas your eyes hit first when returning home.
It’s difficult for me to feel at peace in a disordered home. If I get too much stuff it clutters my home and muddies my mind.
If you’re in need of some peace in your home, dedicate at least 30 minutes of your day to organizing your surroundings.
How do you keep your life organized?

Good advice!
I bet your morning routine will be changing now that you are going back to work so maybe my tips will help you find balance to start your day.
Tracy I had a friend over that wanted to make home made dog treats. We made your recipe on pintest that I have made many times. She loved the experience and herdog is crazy about the treats. I put them in the dehydrater to ensure they were dryed throughout. Thanks again for sharing.
They are great…my dog can’t get enough of them!
