Homemade Body Butter Recipes
The cold dry winter has been hard on my skin, so I went on a mission to find a new recipe for homemade body butter using raw honey as one of the ingredients.
I’ve learned over the years that raw honey is incredible for your skin. It has antibacterial properties and skin-saving antioxidants that nourish your skin and slows down the signs of aging.
Our bees are busy, and it won’t be long before I have an abundance of honey to use. While I wait for the first batch of honey, I’ll be gathering all the supplies I need to make each of the following recipes.
Homemade Body Butter
INGREDIENTS
1½ cups of coconut oil measured as solid
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons grapefruit or other citrus essential oil
Mix all together until combined and smooth.
Transfer to a container and cover.

INGREDIENTS
1 cup of organic honey, slightly warmed
1-2 tablespoons of milk, preferably whole
The juice of ½ -1 whole orange
Warm the honey slightly to make it easier to spread on.
Stir in 2 tablespoons of milk (warming the milk helps as well) and the juice of ½ an orange.
